Design Engineer. Filmmaker. Perpetual student of beautiful things.

01Work

What I do

I design and build software, mostly at the place where the two stop being separate jobs. A short, honest list.

The Interaction Company of California

Now

Design Engineerpoke.com ↗

Building Poke - software that feels personal and quietly delightful. I live in the seam between design and engineering, where a product earns its character.

Notion

Former

Campus Leader

Championed a tool millions live in every day - building community on campus, hosting workshops, and getting people excited about thinking in public.

The Browser Company

Former

Student Ambassador

Spread the word about Arc - the rare browser that dares to be opinionated and warm. Brought it to students and gathered the kind of feedback that shapes a product.

Documentary Filmmaker

Since 2020

Independent

Independent documentary work since December 2020 - most recently a wildlife film in Patagonia’s Torres del Paine, shot alongside Emmy-winning filmmaker Ann Johnson Prum.

Berkeley's human-centered design consultancy. I grew from designing projects to mentoring, then managing them - the part where you teach is where you actually learn it.

Things I'm chasing

Documentary in progress

A wildlife film in Patagonia

Shooting in Torres del Paine - wind, guanacos, and the kind of light you can't fake - alongside Ann Johnson Prum, an Emmy-winning cinematographer I've learned an enormous amount from. Equal parts patience, hiking, and waiting for an animal to decide it likes you.

Design Film Club

A recurring screening series I host at the studio. Real laser projector, grown-up bean bag chairs, no notes app open. Most recently: The Grand Budapest Hotel - naturally.

Climbing

Most weeks you'll find me on the wall at Movement Mountain View, trying to convince my forearms that the next hold is reachable. A good problem is just a UI puzzle with worse consequences.

Movement Mountain View

Recently, elsewhere

A few places that have kept me curious lately - mostly for the food, the design, and the long walks in between.

03About

A little more

I study Cognitive Science and Data Science at UC Berkeley, Class of 2026 - currently on leave to build things full time. Turns out the best way to learn how people think is to make something and watch them use it.

I care about craft to a degree that's occasionally inconvenient. I like film, fitness, food that makes you close your eyes for a second, and the rare product that feels like someone actually cared. Mostly I'm just trying to make good things and keep good company.

Chaat, Mughlai, anything North Indian
5am gym sessions - yes, creatine
Outside Lands regular, FISHER on repeat
Will defend Wes Anderson to anyone
Owns a Boring Company flamethrower

Let's make something

Always happy to talk design, film, climbing, or where to find the best chaat in the Bay.
